Shift Boss – Browns Range

Our pilot plant project in the Browns Range is in the final construction stages. As such we are looking to now build our operations team. We are currently seeking to hire a SHIFT BOSS


  • Assist in the control over the proper safe operation, and running of machinery and equipment in your area of responsibility
  • Ensure that the training skills for personnel are met for current and future demands of the shift
  • Compile a list of all machinery and equipment in use; inspect this equipment and machinery to see whether it is in working condition and record findings
  • Do a monthly physical condition audit of your section together with your team, action plans to be put in place if required
  • Supply your team with weekly/monthly action topics to focus them on problem areas experienced
  • Ensure proper pre-shift hand over sessions with production team to ensure team involvement, team cohesiveness and participation
  • Participate in monthly planning and bring any facts and issues relating to production output to the attention of Management


Completion of Supervisory Development Program an advantage


  • Minimum 5 years previous work in similar capacity in mining industry in a processing environment
  • Previous experience operating semi-autonomously in a remote environment
  • Independent, proactive thinker and can do own job planning and make decisions
  • Supervisory/People management skills
  • Self-motivated and reliant
  • Proficient in Word and Excel


  • Mine Health and Safety Act knowledge
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Understanding of policies and procedures
  • Cultural sensitivity and experience working with indigenous groups

Position is based in Browns Range Pilot Plant Project, Western Australia.  The position is required to work on a rotating shift basis.  Roster is 15 days on 6 days off.
