Risk Management
Compliance
Northern Minerals is committed to achieving and maintaining compliance across our operations, including managing obligations under the Browns Range Care and Maintenance Plan and the Browns Range Conservation Significant Fauna Management Plan. To support this, we have established a dedicated environmental compliance role, developed a comprehensive Environmental Performance Evaluation Schedule that covers key compliance commitments, and manage compliance monitoring in-house with a robust environmental dataset baseline. Northern Minerals has also implemented several initiatives to ensure adherence with Browns Range Care and Maintenance Plan obligations, including engaging Site Managers to oversee compliance, on-ground fauna inspections prior to ground-disturbing works, and working with a consultancy to conduct geotechnical inspection of waste rock landforms.
Risk Management
Aligning with ISO 3100, Northern Minerals’ risk management framework supports a structured and consistent approach to identifying, assessing, managing, and reporting business risks spanning strategic, operational, financial, environmental, social, governance, and other areas. Strong oversight from the Board fortifies this framework, providing an in-depth knowledge of critical risks in the resources sector and the specific jurisdictions Northern Minerals operates within. We take actions to enhance the Company’s risk management capability, including reviewing risk profiles to ensure they can be thoroughly managed and providing risk management training for our internal workforce and external contractors.
