Non Executive Chairman
Nick has more than 30 years experience in mining and finance , with a particular knowledge of the rare earths industry.
In 2001 Nick took control of ASX listed Lynas Corporation and refocussed it as a rare earths company developing the Mt Weld rare earth deposit in Western Australia and a large downstream rare earth processing plant in Malaysia. Earlier Nick founded Sino Gold Limited which was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in 2001 and taken over by Eldorado Gold of Canada in 2006 after becoming a top 100 company on the Australian Stock Exchange. In 2011 Nick founded Forge Resources Ltd, a junior ASX mining exploration company which acquired the Balla Balla Mine in the Pilbara in Western Australia. The company was privatised 2014, and is now BBI Group Pty Ltd, focussed on building a large-scale integrated iron ore system in the Pilbara.
In 2011 Nick was awarded a member of the Order of Australia for his services to the community through executive roles supporting medical research and healthcare organisations and also for his work fostering Australia-China relations.
Nick is a Fellow of the Australian institute of Company Directors and joined Northern Minerals in his Non Executive Chairman role in November 2021.

Ming is a senior finance executive with over 15 years of commercial experience in successful multinational businesses worldwide. Professionally he is member of CPA Australia and Australian Institute of Company Directors. Throughout his career, he has gained versatile industry experience in manufacturing, engineering and R&D, education, mining services and private equity. He has extensive experience in working with investors, the board and senior executive teams in setting up long-term strategic goals, providing hands-on financial support and delivering returns.
Non Executive Director
Liangbing has over 20 years' experience in business operations and management. This includes investment analysis and strategy setting and implementation. Liangbing is based in Beijing China and has a dual bachelor degree in Investment Economics and Economic Law from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

Bin is the Managing Director of Conglin International Investment Group Pty Ltd based in Brisbane. He has a record of successful strategic investments in emerging Australian resources companies based on his long experience in resources investment. Prior to joining the Conglin Group Mr Cai had eight years’ experience with the China Investment Bank.

Adam is the current National Vice President & Director of the Australia China Business Council (ACBC) and Immediate Past President of ACBC (Western Australia). ACBC is the peak Australia China bilateral, not for profit, trade and investment association in Australia.
Adam is also a Partner and China Markets Leader for MinterEllison. MinterEllison is the largest law firm in Australia and is widely regarded as one of the leading legal advisors to Chinese enterprises investing in Australia.
Adam specialises in advising North Asian investors and their Australian counterparts to build successful business relationships across a range of sectors including Energy & Resources, Mining and Project Development and other sectors. He brings a wealth of experience in acquisition and development of major projects in Western Australia, including in relation to negotiation of project development, joint venture and offtake arrangements.
Mr Handley is also a member of the Murdoch University Vice Chancellor's Advisory Board and a Board member of the World Services Group. He was previously an Advisory Board member of a Chinese private equity mining fund, AMF1.
Chief Executive Officer
Mark is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years of professional experience in the mining industry and accounting professions. Prior to Northern Minerals, Mark held senior positions at Crescent Gold Limited, Anglo American Exploration and Homestake Gold (now Barrick Gold). Before joining Homestate, Mark worked for Deloittes in the Audit Division with the majority of his clients being in the mining and resources industry. Mark is also a member of the Executive Council of the Chamber of Minerals and Energy.
Chief Operating Officer
Robin has more than 20 years’ experience in the mining industry, the majority of which has been in the assessment and development of resource projects from scoping study level through to operation. Robin has worked on PGM, nickel, copper, gold and uranium projects in Australia, South Africa and China, and has held senior management positions in several companies including Mega Uranium, CopperCo, Aquarius Platinum and Impala Platinum.
General Manager Geology
Simon is a geologist with over 30 years of broad international experience encompassing roles in the corporate, mine development, operations, and exploration areas. He has held senior industry positions that have demonstrated leadership and management of base and precious metal exploration and mining operations, development of project assessment types including definitive/bankable feasibility studies and their conversion into mining operations and managed teams undertaking exploration evaluations and valuations. He is a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. His career includes work for Dominion Mining, Ashton Mining and Rio Tinto covering commodities as diverse as gold, base metals, diamonds and industrial minerals. He has helped lead a number of mining operation start-ups from exploration through to construction and production.
Hayley is a highly knowledgeable Human Resource professional with over 15 years’ experience in senior leadership and management roles within the mining and resource sector and other industries. Hayley has a strong background in strategic and value driven HR practices. Hayley is a member of the Australian HR Institute.

Northern Minerals Limited aspires to be a principal supplier of ethically produced Rare Earth Metals and separated products from the world’s largest Heavy Rare Earth Element inventory within 10 years. The Company has a large landholding in Western Australia and the Northern Territory that is highly prospective for this element. Its current portfolio consists of three projects, the Browns Range and John Galt projects in WA, and the Boulder Ridge Project located in the NT.
Of these projects, Northern Minerals’ 100% owned Browns Range Project is its flagship project, where it has built a pilot plant to test a number of deposits and prospects that contain high value dysprosium and other Heavy Rare Earths (HREs), hosted in xenotime mineralisation.
